CATHERINE BROEMER
THIS CAT B IN THE SEA
DO YOU SEE WHAT I “SEA”?
Cat B has been diving for almost three decades. If you’ve never seen a “cat” dive, it would amaze you... not to mention a cat jumping off a boat in the middle of the ocean into the SEA!!! Seriously, once you are down under the deep blue sea, it is difficult to surface. Photos are the best way to share the experience firsthand. (She seems to have an EYE for it.... what do you think?)
As a child , Cat would sit with PB&J in hand and could not wait for cartoons to end and Jacques Cousteau to begin on Saturday mornings. As a teen, she learned to dive in landlocked San Antonio. Cat has traveled to many choice diving locales. Micronesia, Bali, Phuket and Sarong to name a few. The series in this show represent her trip to Palau, an island in Micronesia, 2011. Even though the flight is 27 hours, the trip was very special to her because her father was a pilot and her uncle was in the infantry during World War II in the Pacific Rim. On this latest excursion, Cat traveled with a group of like-minded creatures in the fish and fin world. They traveled to the Japanese graveyard in Truck Lagoon and Jellyfish lake in Palau. The photos shown here represent the dives made on this trip.
The hardest part of the whole process has to be waiting to get home to see the results of my undersea adventures. In case you never get the opportunity to check out Neptune's locker, you can catch a glimpse through my eye with these photos. So until I leave the dock again....Enjoy!! |
